You can run. You can hide. But you can’t escape Deep Purple’s “Smoke on The Water.” When I was a youngster it was the first rock song every kid learned on guitar. Even kids who otherwise didn’t play could pick out the power chords. Thanks to the song’s simple, plodding and catchy riff kids are still doing it.
